Beginner's Guide To Simple, Yet Good Looking Makeup

Simple & Good Looking Makeup. What I use.

Okay don’t give me that look. I know I may not be an expert on this, but I do know something off it. Thanks to the various YouTubers and bloggers I have read, followed the advice of. I can now confidently say, I know something atleast. ๐Ÿ™‚ Here is a beginner’s guide to makeup. Simple yet good looking!

I shall take you through it in steps and talk about the products I like and feel may work for you too.

Statutory warning : Please note, I have a combination skin, more on the oilier side . Also I love make up as I can accentuate certain of my features and look good. I do not force or obligate anyone to feel the same. It’s all upto you. ๐Ÿ™‚

Step 1: Give some love to your skin

Over the years I have noticed that when the skin gets neglected, everything gets messed up. Then again, thanks to the YouTubers and bloggers, I have come across what could make a huge difference. Ensure your skin is clean when you begin. Always always remember to use a toner and a moisturizer for your face. Yes, you have heard it million times but trust me it really makes it all.

I personally use the toner only as I mix the moisturizer to the foundation/BB cream.
Soo find a toner that suits your skin the best and then actually use it. Simple right? ๐Ÿ˜‰ I use this,

Step 2: Let’s cover some marks and darkened area

My skin is acne prone and hence eventually I have acquired some marks (As popping pimples are fun ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). I also have some darkened area around my mouth and dark circles. Not to forget, PORES. Soo I use the following products, but not always.

Primer Primer in the bag, make the pores shut it. This primer sorta covers the pores but not completely. But it works enough.

L’Oreal Paris Base Magique Primer, 15ml

To fade out the blackened area and dark circles, I use aย colorย corrector. It works like magic.

Very rarely now. Sometimes as a highlighter for the nose, I use this concealer.

Step 3 : Even the skin tone, soo not to look a fifty shades of…

Our face tends to have different tones across, due to sun exposure or acne or any other problem. Using the right foundation/BB cream can make it look better. When you find the right one, it will naturally blend into your skin and you shall not feel as though you are wearing make up. The famous ‘no makeup makeup look’. Sounds like a tongue twister sometimes. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I use either the following depending on the occasion,

Party/Get Together/ Dates

This is a miracle cream that just settles into your skin no matter what skin tone you have.
Pond’s White Beauty SPF 30 Fairness BB Cream, 18g

or

Marriages/Engagements/ Big Bang Functions

I add a few drops of ย a facial oil to the foundation or BB cream am using to give a creamy consistency. It prevents cakey look and helps the foundation set better on your skin. This is what am using currently,It is a little pricey but lasts for a year.

The Body Shop Body Oil, Strawberry, 3.3 Fluid Ounce

Step 4 : Puff puff, blot blot. Powder it is!

This step in my make up routine is essential. As the amount of oil my T zone produces, only a few powders have the power to stand it. Lol. Overacting for no reason. ๐Ÿ™‚

This is my current favourite. Stumbled on it at the duty free shop. It’s ‘The powder’ for everyone with oily and combination skin. Blots out the oil like a pro!

[The Face Shop] Oil Clear Blotting Powder – Kakao Limited Edition

This also I like, but I would always choose the above over anything. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Step 5 : Eyes & Lips – Highlight it, Sober it but do something with it

This is my favorite part of the makeup routine. I love kajal and eye liners, because they highlight your eyes and make such a huge difference to your face. Mascara adds that extra zing! These are the products I use all the time. makeup or no makeup. ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybelline New York Colossal Kajal, Black, 0.35g

That’s it. Too many products you are thinking? Not really. There could be much more. But then again makeup is everybody’s choice including how they do it. This is mine and am hoping it would help you start somewhere if you are looking to begin. More so it could also be that you like a few products and pick on it to use. Just do whatever you like to do. That’s what matters in the end.

Tell me what you do, maybe I can learn something from you. ๐Ÿ™‚
