Am contemplating, where I should take this inspiration of writing stories from #FridayFotoFiction to writing higher wordcount stories. Could I sustain it? Only time can tell. What do you think? Do let me know in the comments section. 🙂 Lets dive into this week’s #FridayFotoFiction flash fiction – The Vows.
Vows – Then, Now and Forever #FridayFotoFiction
“We sure are not dressed for a hike.” commented Tasha. “Whose great idea was this?”
Lakshmi, Lola and Vini cursed agreeing.
Maya teased them all, “Good God ladies! Patience.”
Maya was getting married today and the best friends were meeting after 5 years.
Maya paused and looked onto the horizon. The sky meeting the sea and a mountain stood strong, as if bonding the sea and the sky tight.
The rest gasped. “How did you?” Garrette’s question hung mid-air.
20 years back, 6 friends had made a pact to be bonded for life just like the sea and the sky. The mountain resembling their love and friendship.
“Today as I take my vows as a bride, I also want to renew my vows as a friend.”
The sun glinted as a witness to their friendship that would last a lifetime.
An Afterthought by OpinionatedMua
I know many a friends who moved away after their marriage because there is no time to specifically spend with your own friends. The time is all gone in catching up with the husband’s friends and family. But I know the times are changing now and girls making constant efforts to spend time with friends. I am one of them, staying away from India adds on to this, where I feel am constantly missing out on things and not feel connected to friends. So I try and call them as much as I can. I strongly believe friends keep us saner, they help us remember who we are.
So no matter what don’t drift away from your friends.
