Yay or Nay: Yay. For inspiration, for the feeling of awe and to feel proud of these women, read it! Follow Every Rainbow by Rashmi Bansal gives you a sneak peak at the success stories of the entrepreneurs.
Review: ‘Follow every rainbow’ like every other book of Rashmi Bansal, talks about entrepreneurs. Small or big, they all strive for their passion to run a business or an organization. But unlike her last books, they speak specifically of women entrepreneurs. What is soo different about this you ask. Well these are growing and well placed entrepreneurs, who we have never heard or known off. They exist, they pursue their dream and they excel.
You will feel inspired, astonished and many other unexplained feelings, but what will strike you is why are these people not spoken off. these entrepreneurs need to be celebrated, not just the one’s that can afford a PR. More so, it also makes you wonder if they really do want to be famous and want to just run their company to success.
The author categorizes these women into Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati based on what they do and the path traveled. I profoundly like this about this book. I do wish Follow Every Rainbow was written in a much better way, more a humane form than documentation. But what was a highlight for me was the end of each story, entrepreneurial advice for the budding entrepreneurs. Why this clicks with me, is I aspire to be an entrepreneur, someday. 🙂
There is soo much to learn from these women entrepreneurs – patience, perseverance and an undeniable faith. It is really hard to pick out a favorite as each entrepreneur had an amazing story and achieved it all in their own way. If you are looking for inspiration and some confidence to start up, i recommend you read this, because you will find at least one entrepreneur you will relate to and resonate with. What more Rashmi Bansal also gives you ways to reach out to them for advice and for help.
My Takeaway: I would want to quote this verse, the author writes at the start of the book. This i believe sums up what i take away from this book.
“Climb every mountain,
Ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow,
Till you find your dream.
A dream that will need
All the love you can give,
Every day of your life
For as long as you live”
